iMac G4 – the cutest Mac ever

Recently I saw in one office the old iMac G4. Wow, this was really a sexy piece of the computer. My iMac G5 is nice, but the old G4 iMac was really cute. So far, I think, it was the cutest iMac available on the market.
Just look at the nice leg with the LCD monitor on it. It is so far the best solution I think. And the nice monitor surrounded by the “liquid†plastic. When I would not like to have at least some performance from my computer, I would be a lucky user of the old iMac G4 platform.
As usually, the iMac G4 was a real revolution in the computer design. Apple showed the other players on the market, that it is possible to get the computer inside such a small room. And that it can be quiet and still provide the performance, which was really a top performance at the time of the introduction of the iMac G4. Those were the times, when Intel and AMD were running for the higher mega and gigahertz and Apple was running for the top performance delivered to your table in the cute package.
I would like to see Apple releasing some cute computer as the old iMac G4. The design now is nice, but really iMac G4 was the cutest and I am a bit disappointed this line was discontinued with the approach of the leg and the mirror. But also, this is still part of my PowerPC nostalgia.
