After several months from its introduction to the markets, Microsoft Zune is still a sleeping beauty. Microsoft stays calm and not commenting, its new gadget is almost disappearing from the eyes and hearts of its possible customers, leaving Apple’s iPod ruling the world of MP3 players.
Microsoft had really high expectations about winning a large market share for its new device, but several mistakes during the campaign and in the device almost destroyed the whole device. After optimistic messages about the device and its WI-FI capabilities, the customers did find information about crippled version of WI-FI capabilities. The crippling was so huge; it would better not to include any WI-FI support inside it. Other issue was a range of colors introduced to the market. Me personally, I love brown color, but I hate the “brown†color, which is available for Zune. Just make a comparison with those sexy colors available for iPods. They look so sexy. Zune looks so cheap. And the price of both devices is the same. But the mistake number 1 for me – Microsoft Zune was not compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista – Say “WOWâ€.
But, as Gizmondo reports – new upgrade of Zune will be available during the summer. It should be able to play games and probably – it should compete Apple iPhone. It should be Microsoft Zune Phone. Quite probably – Microsoft Zune Phone 3.1
So, Apple can stay calm for some time right now – Microsoft is trying to add more features to Zune, but Microsoft is not trying to make its gadget sexier for its customers. Apple knows what gadgets are sexy.

The main problem with the Zune IMHO is the name itself.
Anything that rhymes with Goon and Baboon is not going to attract hipsters.
Zune!!! I’m not a hipster, and I just hate the sound of it.
Actually, it sounds like the “f” word, in Hebrew.
