Will Apple really sell 25 millions of iPhones during two years? Are not analysts crazy?

The analysts of financial markets can go crazy sometimes. Right now, the forecast of Caris & Company express, that Apple will be able to sell more than 25 millions of iPhones during next two year.
Honestly, I do not like Steve Balmer, but I have to agree with him, that people will take iPhone for 499 $ as a very expensive toy. Comparing to the mobile phones available with Windows Mobile, that is really very expensive.
I was considering to buy my own iPhone, when it will be available. Right now, my decision is not tu buy as I decided to buy a new digital camera, which is more expensive, but it will make me lucky for a longer time.
With iPhone, I will wait for the second generation with 3G networks support as I can use them over here in Europe. And also, I am really looking forward to seeing the battle of Apple with finger spots on the whole device. I have seen a lot of advertising campaigns about cleaning spots more easily and almost without any effort.
Having in mind, Apple has a very large group of early adopters, the sales volumes can be really amazing during the first and second quarter, but I am a bit worried about the rest of those two years.
Maybe I am wrong. What do you think?

I just saw this funny music video that ends with “iphone, i cant.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRG1iB8NF14 and I wonder, how bad will the RF interference or EMI will be with the iPhone? If as expected, people switch from CDMA carriers, like Verizon or Sprint, to get an iPhone, they might be in for a nasty surprise. If they never had to deal with that tktktkt GSM noise before, rocking out on the iPhone might just not be as fun as ATT and Apple would like us to believe. It begs the question: 25 million sold, 10 million returned?

I don’t know much about the engineering side of mobile telephony, but it looks like Apple is concerned about it, but nobody seems to be talking about what the experience will be like. Just thought I’d throw it out there.
