“Say Wow” - you can open Office 2007 documents in Mac OS X

Microsoft is not the quickest company in the world. Just releasing a new version of the operating system took several years. Just compare the delay of Apple with the delay of Microsoft. And how many promises did you hear from Microsoft?

Office

As Microsoft released a new version of Microsoft Office for Windows, there was a new barrier between Windows and Mac OS X users. Generally, just NeoOffice was the only application for Mac OS X to open a new Microsoft’s file format – Open XML. The company was not able to release the converter for files as soon as possible, it had to “solve” different issues.

But right now – at least Microsoft Word is able to work with the files created in the newest version of the Microsoft Office for Windows. Generally, it is a good news for us, the users in the Apple community, but we still have to wait for a new version of the MS Office 2004 for Mac. You need to download the converter from Microsoft’s website.

By the way, did you notice, there is a new update for the MS Office 2004 for Mac? Install the update as soon as possible, the suite will run quicker under the new Intel platform.
