Vienna RSS Reader is an open source RSS Reader for Mac OS X. It is exclusively provided just for Mac OS X and it does not offer a version for any other operating system.
As Vienna RSS Reader is developed natively just for Mac OS X, it has features, you will be very familiar with from Mac OS X. Smart folders belong to one of my favorites features provided by Vienna.

After some time, you can have about several hundreds subscriptions to different websites, but you are not interested in every single published article? You have to usually go through all the subscribed articles and have a quick look for the content. But, you can leave Vienna RSS browser to make this boring job for you.
Are interested in “Apple Rumors So, you can just create a smart folder “Apple Rumors†and all the articles from your feeds will be put to this folder and updated with every refresh. Is not that easy to use? The smart folders are created the same way as smart folders in Finder or anywhere else in Mac OS X. Browsing feeds through sorting in smart folders is much more comfortable than reading a web site after website.
Sure, NetNewsWire can do this job as well, but not in the free version. Vienna RSS Reader is provided for free and it has almost all the features of full version of NetNewsWire. You can download it here.
