A security weakness found on Mac OS X
Posted in: Windows, Safari, Mac OS X
It was a big news for the Apple community. The system is not so secure, when you play with your Mac. After several hours – it was shown, it is not that much a security weakness of Mac OS X, but it is a weakness inside Java and QuickTime.
The more funny message for me was to find out – Microsoft Windows users are in the same danger from the same security mistake. Sure, they have to have Java and QuickTime installed. You can find Java on almost every Windows based computer, but to use QuickTime, it is more rare in their world.
If you have Mac OS X and use Safari or Firefox, you are probably in danger. You would have to stop using Java, but I write this article in NeoOffice, so I am really in the danger! But – the Internet is so big, I will survive for some time with this kind of the risk.
Will you survive as well?
