I can't wait to try this. Illustrator has become a bloated, expensive mess. It really hans't improved all that much since v6.0, yet they still haven't fixed some of the most basic deficiencies of the program. (Gee, I'm happy that I can now draw 3d globes in CS3, but I still can't easily make selections in complex drawings, which would have been useful about 3 releases ago. The default file-saving in Illustrator is still completely f'd, too. Hate that program.)

As an Apple and Zimbra user, one irritating thing that has nothing to do with Zimbra per se, is how the Mac mismanaged invites, especially coming from Exchange, which we sadly have to deal with in our x-platform environment.

Just found this, which may help. http://blog.01.com/?p=323

In any event, Zimbra's great, been using it since 4.0, and it's improvements are swift (although never swift enough). Looking forward to Z5, and iZimbra!

I don't know whether it's a Santa Rosa or not but the GPU is ATI. I'll wait until they release Leopard and grep the 20inch. Amazing the it was as cheap as the old 17 iMac. Wow!

The new Imacs have this black outline/edge around the screen. That added feature actually makes them unattractive IMHO.

I've just spent the last 4 wks configuring 'my new' iMac 24" & I bought it fully aware of the rumours, When asked if I was sure to buy 'NOW', my reply was & is "I waited for the proposed OSX 10.5 date that came & went stalling this purchase lets jsut do it, I know it was what I want as it is, it has EVERYTHING & more than I need so IF upgraded it will just mean more than I need + a bit more again"
I don't like silver products anyway though black would be cool & i think its about £2 per m2 for matt black vinyl covering, similar in paint per can or an extra £150 if already done by Apple. Blue Ray? don't care. I've owned a Dual Layer Lacie external for 3 years and never bought a DVD DL (£££) so avi. HD to HIGHER Definition? :), New Keyboard? £40. better GFX chip? NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT does its 'Call of Duty 2' well ;) and so on.... S/PDif I/O, Digital Sound, i still 'only' have Pro Logic anyway so its ahead of my seperates though not my MOTU828 maybe it'll be 7.1 - and a new shape? How many variations of flat/ square with rounded corners are there?
After all I've said I bet the 24" receives a coloiur option but the other models gain H.D. screens, the 17" a dedicated GFX chip and ALL wireless keyboards as standard.
I'll not lose any sleep. Well I will the GFX heck even the worse VHS old BMX ripped videos I have look great. Even those that look terrible on my G4 hooked 17" TFT, 15" CRT pure class, PC No1 old skool iMac (O.G.) Original Graphite S.E. (my fav) and 12" G4 iBook (it works) & 15" G3 PBook Pismo Laptop screens.... ahh the Pismo, my 2nd Fav, damn that is a fine design/set up, all be it now under powered for 10.5 but what a workhorse as is!!, & class! the old skool got class, character, style hmm maybe the iMac could benefit from THAT I do agree.
Though at least its no longer a decapitated R2D2 with solar panel (who watched too much Star Wars/Energy Conservation docs? = iMac mk2) Design Award? omg! Must have been in the wrong category but judgement was set. No turning back. Hey, I could do with a VERY heavy, gripping swivel base, the tilt is good on the iMac 24".. a swival base please? anyone? and 4 oles for screws would have been good, just in case, The rear cable hole is handy to put a huge motorbike padlock through it and chain it to a metal frammed TV stand. I'd LOVE to see someone carry that AND the 24" out of a window, down a ladder heck even stairs and run off with it.... or they could use bolt cutters cos ESP is riff in the burglers guild and their hack saw skills 2nd to none, 2 maybe even as low as 1 hour and they'd have sawn through the 2" steel tube the bike chain is round, then another 1 or 2 through the other :)
I hope that stayed on topic, maybe the 'security' part could (?) should be added elsewhere? as it is a practical move for such an easy target. iMacs/eMacs were a little less easy, the eMac was designed with schools/children not picking them up in mind weren't they?

OSX handles RAW very well.

Simply drag and drop any Raw file on Preview and it will open the file and give you the option to save it as a Tiff, PNG, PDF or PS file.

Using Automator this could be used to batch convert a bundle of RAW files.

Gimp and Graphic Convertor (both free) also handle RAW files very well.
